The sun is warming, you feel the reggae rhythms take hold of you, you dance, possessed by the music. Montreal ignites with the sounds of the islands. The concrete becomes hot sand and reggae, your rallying cry. The wind carries echoes of the Caribbean and each bass beat vibrates your body. You close your eyes, your mind is elsewhere but your feet are firmly in Montreal, where for 3 days, reggae takes over.

About the FESTIVAL REGGAE RISE DE MONTRÉAL

REGGAE REBORN IN MONTREAL Starting in a small club in Barbados a few years ago, Nouvelle Vie created the RISE brand, which quickly expanded to stadium concerts across the Caribbean, from Barbados to Saint Vincent, Grenada, and now here in Montreal, Canada. A Taste of the Caribbean, co-presented by Nouvelle Vie and co-produced by the Mahaba Youth Alliance, presents the MONTREAL REGGAE RISE FESTIVAL from August 8 to 10, 2025, at the Peel Basin Quay in Griffintown. A long-awaited project, the Montreal reggae scene can once again rise to the occasion by organizing a three-day festival featuring international artists. The festival will feature an intimate and comprehensive lineup of artists from a wide range of reggae and reggae-influenced musical genres, such as dancehall, soca, reggaeton, as well as Afrobeat, konpa, and zouk. Artists from the province of Quebec and across Canada will also perform during the festivities.
