After a refreshing swim in St. John Bosco Park, you notice the sound of live music and decide to follow the trail. You wind up in front of a stage where a folk band's playing and everybody's dancing. About the Festival Mémoire et Racines

Founded in 1995 in the tradition of the great American folk festivals, the Festival Mémoire et Racines (FMR) has become a reference in Quebec. The event, initially local in scope, now extends beyond borders and attracts festival-goers and artists from all over the world. The main mandate of the FMR is to promote traditional arts from here and abroad such as song, music, dance and storytelling, by offering quality performances. Through this unique and festive gathering, artists and audiences are encouraged to meet, share and connect, while the transmission of a living heritage and a deep-rooted regional culture takes place.
