For the past 20 years, the FME (Festival de musique émergente en Abitibi-Témiscamingue), a non-profit organization, has been promoting emerging and independent music. The event welcomes musicians from across Quebec, Canada and various countries, giving them the opportunity to perform before festivalgoers who are fond of music and discoveries. Thanks to a variety of indoor and open-air concerts, thematic evenings, festive happy hours and surprise performances, the FME creates a unique ambience in the heart of Rouyn-Noranda throughout the Labour Day weekend. With several venues, cafés, restaurants and bars, an art gallery and an outdoor site entirely designed in the image of the festival and taken over by musicians, FME is truly a must-see event!
